Provincial Consortium for Renewable Energies
“A public initiative to articulate the democratisation of renewable energies”
GRANADA RENOVA is a provincial consortium that is currently being set up by 72 municipalities in Granada and the Granada Provincial Council. It is constituted with the aim of articulating the economic, technical and administrative cooperation between the consortium members, in order to jointly and in a coordinated manner promote, develop, implement and manage renewable energy generation projects. We are talking about wind, photovoltaic, biomass or any other renewable resource that is viable.
The GRANADA RENOVA consortium also aims to bring Granada’s society closer to the current reality of the energy issue – our great dependence, its costs, its political, economic and social implications on a national and planetary scale – and to facilitate the participation and economic involvement of our citizens in the development and implementation of this type of projects, in other words, to democratise renewable energies.
