The Granada Provincial Energy Office of the Granada County Council has extensive experience on different European Projects (H2020, SAVE, Intelligent Europe, 7FP, ERASMUS+, National and Regional managed EU calls, Interreg Europe and MED, POCTEFEX, etc.), with expertise in the field of Sustainable Energy and Climate Change since 2001, and working in the last years on better exploring citizen participatory approaches to deliver and co-create synergies, including in the last years with the EU and National regulation about auto consumption possibilities, the promotion of prosumers, integration of renewable energies in the territory, and energy communities.
In fact the Energy Agency was created in 2001 by means of the European SAVE II call, and since then the Energy Agency hasn’t stoped participating in European initiatives, being absorbed by the Granada County Council and renamed as Energy Office in 2019:

As well the Granada Energy Office participates and/or collaborates in different European initiatives, such as the Covenant of Mayors www.eumayors.eu , or the European Energy Agencies Network www.managenergy.eu . Thus, the Energy Office has the experience and capacity to participate in new European initiatives related to sustainable energy promotion, being able to promote the results and outcomes within it’s European and National contact network, as well as among over 174 municipalities and nearly 1.000.000 citizens of the Province of Granada.
